Land prices, fertilizer prices, interest rates did not all skyrocket in just the last six months. These problems have been going on for many years. Trump has been strongly vocal on trying to get interest rates for loans reduced.

Loans are not free money. Farmers have to pay back loans too. They 'lose the farm' if they don't. Students just abscond and retire to mom's basement, probably claiming disability.

Non-FSA financing portion is required to be at least a 30 year repayment period with no balloon payment allowed within the first 20 years of the loan. The interest rate charged is always the lower rate in effect at the time of loan approval or loan closing for the type of loan wanted. Interest rates are calculated and posted the 1st of each month.

The Direct Farm Ownership law does require experience.

Loan Servicing and Restructuring: Lenders, especially those working with the USDA's Farm Service Agency (FSA), may offer options to restructure the loan. This could involve adjusting payment schedules, extending terms, or even considering interest-only periods to allow the farmer to recover financially. The FSA also has the Disaster Set-Aside Program, allowing eligible farmers to move one annual installment to the end of the loan term.

Default and Acceleration on Farm loans is not nice. Down right Dickens’ Scrooge.

Either way, student or farmer debt sucks and one man’s investment is another man’s gamble.

It's important to understand that no one is forced to take a loan. It's a choice, maybe a gamble, but one usually does so expecting to be able to pay it back as contracted.

Some of you keep bitching about university costs, shouldn't you be complaining to them? Why don't you?

No one has expectation of a well paying job with degrees such as 'gender studies'. Utter bullshit. Go learn a trade and be useful and actually make some money.
