TomP"Asabiyya" ?
I'm told there are words for human relationships in Arabic that have no English translation.
This is some thing that appeared on another website that makes me curious:
When there is a general change of conditions,
It is as if the entire creation had changed
and the whole world been altered,
as if it were a new and repeated creation,
a world brought into existence anew.
- Ibn Khaldun "General change of conditions" looks to me like a clumsy translation to English of something from Arabic?
Anybody with more knowledge than I, know this one?

He was talking about the world being entirely different before and after the Black Death, and the need to accurately chronicle the two different worlds.

We could be extrapolating that to covid as well.

Not even close, in some places in the Middle East the Plague killed 65% of the population, whole cities gone.
Thriving civilizations before, run by goat herders since. If COVID had resulted in MAGA running the world it would be comparable.

SaeedThe word ASABIYYA literally means someone is acting without any common sense afore thought.
Very relevant to the world we live in today!
