trump's VP pick speculation
>>President Trump is narrowing his choices for a running mate in November and is focused on three young U.S. senators, according to a GOP strategist with close ties to the campaign.

Sens. Katie Britt of Alabama, J.D. Vance of Ohio and Marco Rubio of Florida are the top choices, Ryan Girdusky, a GOP strategist and conservative blogger, said.

Not included on the shortlist: South Dakota Gov, Kristi. Noem, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake, or his former press secretary Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Neither Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis nor Mr. Trump’s recently vanquished GOP primary opponent, Nikki Haley, are under consideration. <<<

If he picks Rubio, I wonder if he will call him Little Marco?

Can a citizen run for vice president and president in the same election?

Technically, nobody has run for anything yet.

I have no idea who trump will choose but out of the three mentioned, I'd say Britt is the front-runner. He'll never choose Vance. He's too much of a hard-charger, he'd draw attention away from trump. Rubio is never in play....I get Florida and all that but Rubio can't deliver Florida. South Florida maybe.

Britt's attractive, she makes speeches from her kitchen and she will be a total trump ass-licker.

I’ll be so disappointed if he doesn’t pick Marjorie Taylor Green or Lauren Boebert.

Not as disappointed as they will be.

I was thinking about Tulsi Gabbard...

If Tulsi Gabbard has any sense at all, she will stay as far away from Donald Trump as she can. The last thing any sane person should want is to be chosen by Donald Trump. The person who is chosen, might just as well throw themself under a bus, before he does it. Regards, Bill

Under the Constitution as currently amended one cannot run for both President and Vice President.

Originally, there was no ticket. The person who received a majority in the Electoral College took the Presidency. The person who got the second largest EC total got to Vice Presidency. We did away with this.

But nobody is actually a candidate for anything until after the nominating conventions. So far everybody has just run for nomination.

Right now I think Saeed could easily become Trump's running mate for a measly $460 million or so.

After all, the Supreme Court just ruled that the Constitution doesn't really matter when it comes to qualifications.

You are correct. That goose is plucked and the oven is heated.
