wympleBy the time summer hits, truckers will be washing dishes if they can find the work, LA & Seattle as ports are starting to look like ghost towns. Expect it to ripple thru the nation. I know from my own eyes that Wal-Mart has already raised prices almost across the board. I don't like shopping there, but I'm a bit handicapped by my location to travel very much elsewhere. Stuff my wife & I get regularly is up, some of it by 20% or better already. That's a whole lot more than 3-4 % inflation. There is a Wal-Mart distribution center near here in Mt Pleasant, Iowa, lots of tractor trailer rigs coming & going. Usually the truck lot is about half full of trailers. Right now it is already pretty much full of rigs not on the road. And there's a lot of them. That tells me what I need to know. Stay tuned.
