The truth is, in order to be a true believer for either side, you must go all in.

As long as we are willing to vote for the lesser of two evils, the evils will get worse.

The thing is that normally the system doesn't run, function or not, based on who is chief. Supposedly he or she is part of a team including checks and balances, and sanity.

That includes a lot, the bipartisan deep state, all the agencies, institutions and admin, the other two branches and the mechanisms of that, legal president and constitution, and even the press.

The system ran okay even when Reagan went senile and even when Biden got slow.

True believers were always lurking.

Then comes Trump(ism).

That's why I say he and his followers want to remake the country in his image.

That's a new thing specific to Trump.

So it's false to compare Dems and Repugs on the same plane that way. The difference is significant, perhaps everything.

Kamala and the Dems represented institutional builders and protectors, for the beneficiaries, us.

Trump and repugs represented institutional destroyers, for the beneficiaries, not us.

The voters/public knew that, or should have known
