What is the point of this post? It’s kind of ambiguous. Do you think getting rid of habeas corpus is a good idea or bad idea? For the record, I think it’s a bad idea.

There is one narrow vehicle for the suspension of Habeas in the Constitution. The President cannot do it unilaterally.

The US Constitution's Suspension Clause, found in Article I, Section 9, states that the privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus "shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it.". This means that the right to challenge illegal detention in court, which is a fundamental part of the US legal system, can only be suspended by Congress in specific circumstances.

However, the last time Congress tried to suspend Habeas the S. Ct., invalidated the Act as a violation of the Constitution based on the treaty clause.

Wormtongue is prone to say anything to provoke the media. There may be several reasons he does that. He gets satisfaction out of owning the media and stirring what he thinks is TDS. He also knows Trump is his audience too.

He's Roy Cohen reincarnated.

He's the lowest form of lawyers and that's why Trump hired him.

Anyway, he said a lot more in that interview.

He talked about activist judges for example and there were rumblings of impeachment on judges not towing Trump's agenda.

I read an article that some pro-Trump group is suing Justice Roberts.
