In laws of my in laws were in Maine last summer. Having dinner they told us bow the 5.5 hour ride from Brooklyn, NY took them almost 10 hours because they had to recharge their overpriced Tesla 2x due to amount of extra weight with luggage and family aboard. So, what is the benefit? They have about 100p pounds of battery which will need to be disposed of someday. Where we regularly ski in the winter maybe 20 cars have charging stations. If you get there late you'll be out of luck because the owners leave the car there all day. How would the other 10000 people there on any given weekend charge their vehicles? How would it even be feasible to run that much juice up there? And how much more energy would need to be expended to create that electricity? Talked to a girl on the lift two weeks ago who works for a solar installation company. I asked her bow much cost to produce one kilowatt of power. She didn't know but claimed it was cheaper than I might have thought. I asked again how much since she worked for one of those companies. No answer. Shocker. Want to know how that SOB former Governor turned "Independent" Angus King made his dough? He set up a.company whose job was to fill out api actions for wind farms. Made lots of money. Now lots of pristine Maine vistas are skylines with wind turbines which only spin when the wind blows at or above a certain speed. Thanks for nothing Anus King. One big sham I tell you. | |||
