So, the dems want to dismantle the Electral College? Trump crushed Kamalalalala in the popular vote as well as the EC.
Seems the votes for senators followed as well.
Looks like the Supreme Court could get a new face or two - hopefully. All of the lower courts will get justices instead of liberal pukes.
What will the dems think of next to try and push a socialist agenda???

Morning Ross, I was watching last night and some commentators said that the D party needs to have a serious introspective contemplation about the results. Others said, that they believe the left will push the party further left.
My wife asked me what happens to the Liz Chenny's and Mitt Romney's (Pierre DeLecto)of the country? Third party? Change party?
What about the legacy media?

TimanIt's all very simple, you intentionally sabotage Americans who actually care about America, and you shall be removed from power as we'll only stand for so much BS from the left.
Wide open border, crushed energy policy, economy in shambles. GAME OVER!!

Neither party wants a viable centrist third party to exist, as fighting battles on two fronts is far more difficult. Currently the two US parties campaign to their extremes during the primaries, then try to reposition themselves as centrist after the candidates have been selected.

Could the current Trump administration show that a centrist party or coalition can exist?
His team has many Democrats support. You know the names. Rogans support isn't even a measurable metric yet. Rogan was a Bernie supporter.

I don’t think so. Both sides are so consumed with crushing and dominating the other that cooperation and unity have left the building.
Very few people from either side would support a ‘middle of the road’ government, although that’s the only logical solution.
Politics in the western democracies have taken on the attitudes of British soccer clubs; “I love mine fiercely, and hate yours with equal ferocity.”
I maintain that a government must be socialist enough to meet the basic needs of everyone, and capitalist enough to encourage growth, prosperity and progress.
Right now, both sides are at a position of “Fuck you, it’s all about me!”

I researched the question a few days ago and based on the sources I found and read, the donations supporting Trump by billionaires exceeded that of Harris.
The billionaires' investment in Trump
surly paid off. Whatever they donated was exceeded by a lot in returns when Trump won. And there's a lot more where that came from.

The good news. We do not have to deal with another 2020 Big Lie and the associated damage to the democratic institution of our elections and the divisiveness fomented by the Big Lie. We can look forward to a peaceful transfer of power unlike 2020. The GOP now controls both the Executive and Legislative branches, so they should be able to take on our country's profligate spending, healthcare, border security and other vexing issues . . . and if they don't there is no one to blame but themselves. They have a busy two years ahead of them. There is always the hope (not necessarily the expectation) that Trump may use his lame duck status to become more unifying in his messaging.
The bad news. Trump is still Trump, so while we can hope that his rhetoric about this being a time to heal is sincere, there is really no basis to believe that will be the case.
I think we will know a lot more once we see the cabinet picks start to be announced. Are they people of character with backgrounds of success and achievement or are they a group of yes-men and yes-women that were selected based solely on their willingness not to say no. In 2016 I was encouraged by Trump's cabinet picks but it soon became obvious that he had no intention of letting them do their jobs. So in 2024 I will again will hopeful that the leopard can change his spots . . . albeit skeptical. He is our President and we all hope that he, and the rest of the GOP, can do more to unify us than divide us.

That's the best compliment I've had in a while.

Of course I'm projecting my own values there.
I forget and write off notorious internet characters pretty quickly. Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame.
OTOH, you can start paying rent anytime.

It had to come from somewhere quick, she only had 100 days as candidate. No word of floods of $5 donations pouring in.
It was the first $Billion campaign and she lost - bigly.
It will be interesting to see if the pro popular vote movement reassesses their folly after this election.
Would have been hysterical if Harris lost the EC vote because enough states signed onto the popular vote compact.
That is, if she had won the EC.

"Funny" is subjective.
I'm glad that you think my Bud Lite joke is funny.
In the same way, stretching the definition of "funny", maybe amused is a better word, I think it's funny that you allowed me to lead you into a meaningless debate.
As I said, you can start rent payments anytime.
Part of my amusement is that you and a few others are just too easy. I finished about half of my 2nd Bud Lite. Go ahead, make my day.
