I think you are referring to:

Anyway, the point of the investigations is first to satisfy Trump's revenge, 2nd to lawfare with malfeasance of official authority, and 3rd for instilling fear, and to cause financial and other suffering on Comey and Brennan.
It's calculated and doesn't matter if there's probable cause or prosecution or conviction. The investigation and suffering and fear is the point.

I’m looking at it like this…for all the unelected officials not to get involved in politics as they are just foot soldiers, so they should just do their job instead of getting their emotions in politics in a way of doing their jobs thus, they can sleep at night

It seems there are loads of non elected officials who get involved in politics. Take your pick for any one of the umpteen donors to Trumps campaign who have been given ambassadorships or other govt appointments as a reward.
Don't appoint the most qualified person to represent the interests of the US abroad, just give them out to anyone who has payed up $500,000 or whatever the threshold is.

RolandtheHeadlessEvery time some Trumpeteer here makes a reference to the Russian election meddling as a "hoax," they should have the following passage from that article (thanks, Magine) quoted back to them:
"The report concluded that the 2017 assessment, including its ultimate conclusion that Russian interference was real and widespread, was not politically motivated. The Foreign Relations Committee’s acting chair lauded the report. “No probe into this matter has been more exhaustive,” he said in a statement. “We found irrefutable evidence of Russian meddling.” That senator was Marco Rubio, now Trump’s secretary of state."
