Saint Charlie Day

We need a new national holiday to honor his years of public service.

Besides, people would enjoy another day off work. Why be a slave when in a few years your jobs will be taken by AIs and robots?

His murder was a senseless act of violence, but a larger community, whether Democrat or trans or gay, is not to blame.

But we've reduced the title of patriot or hero or martyr to nothing haven't we? Limbaugh gets the Medal of Freedom, Obama gets a Peace Prize. Did i read that some kid that was good with the internet is going to be made a Saint by the Catholic Curch?

I remember we used to acknowledge Washington's and Jeffersons birthday individually, now we have Juneteenth, a remembrance for our African American Texan fellow Americans.

Why shouldn't we have Saint Charlie Day? Maybe it should be an entire month like Gay Pride.

I think we need a Mr. Greenjeans Day. I used to watch Captain Kangaroo religiously and always like Mr. Greenjeans.
