That would be interesting. Big Grin

Even the Musk/Putin tag team would have a hard time cooking that election.

Wouldn't it?

I'm guessing Obama wouldn't want anything to do with it...but, he would wipe the floor with trump if it came to pass.

Can you even imagine the squealing you would hear on the Crater?

It’s hyperbole

I’ll wait while someone explains the big word to you.

trump at CPAC floating a third term is "hyperbole"? I agree it's ridiculous but anybody that thinks he's not serious about it wasn't paying attention when he claimed (and still claims) he won in 2020.

All I'm saying is that what is good for the goose is good for the gander. If trump can run again, then so can Obama.

Again, be careful what you wish for. Obama would clean trump's clock in a General Election in 2028.

Do you really need me to point you to trump's recitations regarding a third term?

He calls the J6'ers that he freed patriots. The seditionists that beat police officers and tried to prevent the certification of a General Election. Google "proud boys" today and see what you get.

Anything is possible with the orange asshole.

What if he finds some shoddy lawyers willing to do his bidding, and they cook up an argument that the Constitution only bars more than two consecutive terms?

If the SC in its great wisdom were to somehow accept that argument--a real stretch, even for the Roberts court--by the time of the ruling, it would probably be too late for Obama to mount a campaign.

This will be the argument.

Perfect for Obama. He can argue it doesn't apply to two consecutive terms separated by several other executive elections. Makes just as much sense. Unless you look at the law in relation to both arguments. I hope it happens. It's like Dumb Jim says....the conservatives will get all "splodey head"

Trump's hired thinkers will at some point get around to messing with Social Security.
That will end his run with the Republican Party. He's already started with Medicaid.
