Francois Marais - 2018 Hunting Rifle Shooting World Champion
Congratulations to Francois Marais for winning the 2018 Hunting Rifle Shooting World Championships in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

Francois is the son of Francois Marais who used to PH for Karl Stumphe in Namibia. I met the younger Francois when I was hunting with his Dad in 2008. He came along with us hunting springbok outside of Gochas, Namibia during his school holidays.

Francois senior guided me on my only hunt in Namibia (2009), and we got along very well. We spent part of an afternoon with his son who was doing a little bow practice. He's good at that too. This is a couple of years old now.
