I found a solid puddle of metal in the fire pit. It had been through a couple rains and was there about two weeks. There is no dirt in it and it has not tarnished. Oh! and it is hard and brittle to break. No one remembers any metal going into the fire. I tried to replicate with an old hard lead sinker, it tarnished and has debris in it. Tonight I tried a broken golden eagle from an old flag pole, when stoked it produced a bright blue flame. Research says Lead, zinc/phosphorus, and antimony glow blue when on fire. I finally found my laser thermometer so after the rains I can heat a ladle and get a temp.

Get its specific gravity and look it up.
