Anybody making their own shot? If you do, how is it made? What tool etc. and do you have any pictures?

O.K. the old method was the "shot tower" and you let small droplets of lead drop in air far enough to solidfy, etc. So if you have a tower. Taller for larger droplets...

There was a machine that "spun" the molten lead, once melted, out of the bowel and if it wasn't too hot, it tumbled down the sides that caught it... Haven't seen one for a time, but haven't looked.

It is doable, but bit of work. Fuel/heat is not cheap. Unless you are doing enough... luck.
