Lar45Brass or copper? when you want to rivet?
IF I want to turn some 358 bullets that I want to expand some on Elk from a 350 Rem mag, how would copper or brass react? What if I annealed brass? heated and quenched?
TIA

Copper ... Drill a small hole in the end of the bullet and annel the bullets clean using TarnX
and a plastic scrub pad ....Dont tumble it will ..if left for more then ten hours reharded the bullet so there would be no point in annealing the bullets ..
Another way is to drill the hole in the rod stock square then run through a point forming die in a hydra swage press or a hydro swage press it will seal the end of the bullet depending on the point you have and leave a small hole inside that will expand the bullet when the nose hit most anything hard enough.
Just some thoughts.
