MartytWLaw regarding making sabots (instead of bullets)
The manufacture for sale of bullets requires licensing from BATFE, and depending on the size (< or > .510), varies significantly in cost.
My question: What is the law regarding manufacture of SABOTS? All I wish to make is those little plastic buggers, and not the bullet that goes in them. So what is the skinny?
Thanks!

DigitalDanContact BATF, or Big Green since they make a bunch. Nobody has broken down my door for paper patching though, and I doubt the Feds would make an exception for paper sabots. On the other hand, they do like paperwork.
A few years back they passed a law mandating a reduction in the amount of paperwork generated by government agencies; I always thought it a bit of an oxymoron.

MartinPottsMarty .. all i can say is have fun there is nothing stopping you... save the cost to do it .
Also were you still looking for bullet's? or have you decided to go with sabot's instead
There are no law's on the book's atleast in Oregon.
So i would say since texas has less law's regarding it
