Boy there are a lot of these on Youtube in which some bozo trains his camera on a boxed product and proceeds to slowly open the box and describe what you can see for yourself. I much prefer to see a guy get a new product and wring it out. I am way more interested in whether the damned thing works rather than that it comes with instructions and an allen wrench.

Rant over. I will now go take my medicine.

LOL. It's certainly a thing in the guitar world ... these "unboxing" videos.

I don't know why they drive you nuts. They're almost as entertaining as the how to boil water videos.

Heh, Todd, you have to understand that I grew up in a home where Dad would run out the front door just to watch a Hughes Airwest 727 on landing approach ...

Bill,I can relate. The thing that chaps me is when I get something that has an assembly chart that I think started out in chinese + got reinterpreted several times before it got to me. Being a guy,I just throw that away + put it together like its supposed to be.I got that knowledge from all those Christmas Eve (all night assemblies)from when the kids were little.

This made me laugh. We used to live near dulles airport and when the Concorde, and only the Concorde, took off, a small window by the front door would rattle. In a near Pavlovian response, when I heard it rattle, I’d go running out to catch a glimpse...
