john c.any horse shoe experts here?
was driving the hunting on the property for pottery shards etc with the kids (treasures ) near where an old house and blacksmith shop was after the civil war and found an old horse shoe. have seen a few in my life, not a whole bunch, but had horses growing up. this one is unusally thick and narrow where the two ends are. my sons boss, i mean fiance, is a horse nut and says its from a draft horse. if anyone is interested i'd be glad to email or text a pic.

Grizzly Adams1Some shoes are meant to be therapeutic or serve a special function. I have a whole wall full in the barn, I've collected.

CougarzMaybe a mule shoe? Draft horse shoes are bigger and rounder than a riding horse.

john c.i'm leaning towards a mule shoe too. this one doesn't show wear, as in getting thinner on one side or the other. its pretty thick its entire length
