Some of you may know our friend C.W. here in Austin. He had one helluva collection (read crates) of M1's until is house fire.Among those lost was a display model w/ clear sideplates + the biggest loss of serial # 3.And that is just the Garands,not counting the others + all the ammo.A mutual friend stood guard on the house until everything was transferd over to Camp Maybry.It still makes me sick,I can only imagine how he must feel. His Million insurance policy did'nt even come close.Some things you can't replace with money.
