Surprising thing we have been seeing practically all Saudi registered cars driving in Dubai are driven by women, for many years.
One Saudi family told me "you cannot imagine how lucky you are living in the UAE! We come over whenever we get any chance. It is our safety valve. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks you"

RockdocMy brother used to say, when he lived in Saudi, that the Thursday night flights to Dubai were the most expensive in the world.
When he first went to Saudi he talked of buying a Harley to ride. Then he saw how the locals drove!

I noted when researching hotels in Dubai that a lot of the reviews for where we are staying( Jumeirah Dar al Masyaf), are written by Saudis and Kuwaitis! I guess I shouldn’t be surprised after see the presss photo of 2 Dubai traffic cops(both women) driving a Lamborghini and a Ferrari police cars....

Not long ago I was walking to my car at one of our beach clubs.
There was a car there with its bonnet open, and a lady and two men are discussing why the car would not start.
They were all looking at the engine compartment.
As I walked by, I looked inside, and could see the gear lever was not in the PARK postion.
I said "would you like me to start the car fro you?"
The lady said "it won't start, these gentlemen are trying to help me find out what is wrong"
I said "there is nothing wrong with the car at all. Look"
I got in, moved the gear lever to park, and PRESTO! The engine fired.
I knew all three people, so I said "now you know why the Saudis have enough common sense to ban women from driving! You lot are incapable of operating anything that requires common sense. And is also sad is these two clueless MEN were paying more attention to your bikini than what was wrong with the car!"
Everyone was laughing, and the lady said "Saeed, you are disgusting male chauvinist PIG! But we all love you"!
We put a big notice in the car park "WOMEN DRIVERS! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR GEAR IS IN PARK BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO START YOUR CAR"
That got us a few more laughs, and I got a few more insults worse than a chauvinist pig
Political correctness does not exists here.
