DSC EDDallas Safari Club
Hello everybody, my name is Ben Carter and I am the Executive Director of the Dallas Safari Club. I recently joined AR. I am a life long hunter, having taken 26 of the North American 28 of which 6 different species qualify for the Boone and Crocket Record Book. I have also been to Africa 7 times and taken many species of plains game, an elephant and a buffalo. I wanted to say that not only I, but our entire organization appreciates the positive things that have been said on here about our convention. This last year was the biggest and best ever. We had some growing pains associated with the move, but have been working very hard and have plans in place to vastly improve the couple of areas we had last year that were challenging, and feel that this next year will be the best ever. I also wanted the members here to know that Dallas Safari Club is going to provide a hospitality suite at the convention that will be for exclusive use of AR members that come to the show. The Dallas Safari Club is a dynamic organization, that believes in its mission statement of Conservation, Education, and Advocacy for hunter's rights. We also believe that we want our show to be of the highest quality, not the largest. I look forward to interacting from time to time on here and see what others on AR are doing. I have also been a handloader for about 30 years and enjoy it alot. I tend to be a pretty boring handloader though, as I have worked up one load for each gun, and use that same load over and over. However, I know exactly what my gun does.

GeorgeSWelcome, Ed.
Many of us have attended the DSC show, and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
You will find many kindred spirits here, along with some real idiots.

Feel free to post up in the African Hunting section as that's where you're likely to meet some more folks.
