I find it amazing how many of our military do not know how to properly use small arms.

Did the truth about this photo ever come out? I don't recall. You can see an instructor/RO hand on his shoulder. This makes me think this sequence of fire was part of an organized drill/event.

The backwards mounted optic AND the hand on the shoulder makes it look like a set up. Wonder if his own crew or a Spec Ops element onboard didn't set this up just to make him look bad.

I thought he was practicing long range shooting by switching the scope around. Big Grin

Appears to have been "Photo Shopped" to me. Look at the "appendages" under the power ring and objective bell that missed cropping.

I am going with someone didn't like him.

I once left a field stripped Mini-14 on the chief deputies desk. Because he refused to learn how to reassemble it.

Just because they are management or hold rank doesn't mean they are smart.

That's for sure. When my son was in the army, his sergeant had him clean her sidearm for her. She was a real dick. So he took some steel wool to it + took it down to the white, + put it back in her holster. She didn't notice it until a few weeks later + it was totally rusted. She should have cleaned her own piece.

If so, we’ll see.

Ain’t no way to keep that kind of thing under wraps!

Who mounted the scope? Is the armorer a known prankster?

What difference does it make? If an officer is too stupid to recognize the problem, he has no business holding a command position….
