So when it comes to adult beverages, like running, I tend to pace myself.

But...what a pace! Big Grin

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Not to brag,

and it's simply vanity, but there was many a time I took foolish pride in being the last man standing!

ya!

Not so much anymore!

Now I'm just an ex-spurt!

and ex is a has been,

and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

luckily I grew up around some folks that were men among men, and I learned early in life that "there never was a horse that couldn't be rode and never was a rider that couldn't be throw'd.

In other words as someone else said, a man's gotta know his limitations!

ya'll be safe an see ya' on the flip side!

Glad you're holding firm GW. I recall an old Peanuts cartoon where Linus + Lucy are trapped in the house in the rain + Lucy (of course) complains about ,what if it never stops raining? Linus directs her to Genesis 9-11 + she is mollified. Linus says yes, nothing like sound theology to do that. Until I typed this I never connected that that passage was 9-11. Hmmm.

Never mistake motion for action.

I am blessed beyond measure. My mother is 91 and still ambulatory and has her wits about her. I have five siblings. At 65, I am the oldest surviving male Brown. Between my five siblings and I, we have 18 children. My mom has 23 great grand-children. Four of my siblings and I live within a couple miles of my mom who still lives in her own house.

As an aside, my dad, who passed in '09 at 86 years had a saying, "one dad can take care of six kids, but six kids can't take care of one dad!"
Well lord luv him, sometimes there may be a dozen of us over at my mom's on any given day making sure she is taken' care of.

My siblings and I have been married between 30 to 41 years with no divorces. All of us are on this side of the jail house, and gainfully employed. The kids and grand-kids all have the correct number of fingers, toes and their senses.

The bible sez that the span of a mans life is 3 score and 10 (70 years). There are seasons to a man's life. Spring, summer fall and winter. At 65, while chronologically I should be living in the winter of my life, experentially, I'm still living in springtime.

Can you belive out of all those households (23) and all but 5 being in the vicinity of Houston, only one had catastrophic losses during Harvey.

We are blessed and I give thanks to my maker!

ya!
