A new study says when the weather heats up, things in the bedroom tend to cool down.

The study published in the National Bureau of Economic Research looked at the affects temperature shocks had on birth rates in the United States between 1931 and 2010. It found a steep decline in birth rates 8 to 10 months after days where the temperature went above 80 degrees. Did we need research to tell us there's nothing sexy about sweating from just sitting still?

While researchers noticed a partial rebound in birth rates during the fall months, it wasn't a full rebound, which leads them to the conclusion that as temperatures rise due to climate change, we'll see a decrease in population growth. This means as the planet keeps getting hotter, people are going to be having less sex.

Well, if that were true the African continent would be the least populated place on the planet.

Seems the opposite is true...

Well the gov. does have ways of wasting money (ours).I remember them doing a study that cost millions to determine that the enzymes in cow intestines would open the blood capillaries in the brain + thus decrease headaches.DUH,the Mexicans figured that out ages ago + called it Menudo (the hangover cure). FYI, concerning A.C. the fleurocarbons that make up the product most know as freon was originally designed as a gas invented in WW1. When freon (the gas) is introduced to flame it causes phosgene gas.It is a nerve toxin. After the war when the warehouses were full of cannisters,Dupont (better things for better dying) found a new use for the stockpile. Ice houses became a thing of the past as practical refrigeration was born. As an aside several years ago when New York have a severe blackout...nine months later there was a surge in births.Not to mention when the final show of the series of "MASH" was shown ,NYC sewer systems peaked a new high in minutes. Officials were concerned until they figured out that EVERYONE was waiting for the end of the show to take a piss.

years ago, the university of idaho got several millions of dollars to do a five year (?) study to discover why the "V" geese fly in has one less goose on one side.

Five years later, they presented a paper stating that it is because the leader's mate flies off to the side.

And one needs ask why I object to my fed. taxes?!

Does everyone remember the insect we call a "walking stick"? Well years ago I came up with the idea that a federal grant was in order to discover what they ate. Seen lots of mating but never one eating. Seems to make as much sense of money spent as everything else these idiots come up with.
