STOP SB249
Senator Leland Yee's SB 249 makes thousands of law-abiding California gun owners criminals.
What is SB 249?
Senate Bill 249 is a California State Senate bill, authored by Senator Leland Yee (San Francisco), designed to prohibit the possession, importation, making, selling, transferring, or loaning of any [firearm] "conversion kit."
What happens if SB 249 passes?
If SB 249 passes, beginning July 1, 2013, violating the newly-added gun control laws would subject people to civil and criminal liability. California Penal Code section 17(a) makes a violation of SB 249, if enacted, a misdemeanor crime. SB 249 would also allow a prosecutor to bring a civil action against a person possessing a "conversion kit." Such a civil action could impose a fine and require the owner to surrender their weapon without compensation.

Norman ConquestThanks Frank. Never give an inch.I have thought the past several years that one needs to evacuate California due it's repressive gun laws + socially bankrupting services. But in retrospective view I would not abandon my home here in Texas because of government intervention.Hang tough Amigo.

I came across this old post and thought it might be worth mentioning again in the light of Senator Leland Yee's arrest last month for arms trafficking and connections with organized crime in San Francisco's Chinatown.
What a hypocrite.
