Does your post count make you an expert or does it just show that you look and post on every damn thing you look at?

Excellent question.
There’re post whores on every forum and review site. Maybe they haven’t much of a life.
And yes it just shows that they look and post on every damn thing they look at.
I pay no attention to the post counts.
Who cares but the post whore.
Some post a lot like on the gunsmithing and reloading forums. But they post very intelligent reply’s.

I'm not sure that is an "either/or" question, Jim.

The first half? Not at all.

The rest of the story is a multiple choice endeavor...…..

I am not sure WHY a post count is kept, I feel all it does is cause problems.

Some folks just find it easier to express their opinions than others do.

Personally I wish they would stop it!

Reread my above responce and realized it could be interpreted the wrong way.

I do not care how much anyone posts, it is their business.

One of the things I like about AR is they just post the numbers and list members as "One Of Us"!

I have been on sites that had "Titles" for members as they reached certain levels of post numbers, and in reality all it did was create a lot of hostility among the members, b ecause members would make digs at other members because of that stupid title.

I post here because I enjoy the social interaction of like minded individuals (which is why I stay off the political forum). In my opinion it has allowed me to reach out to new friends that I would never have met otherwise. Also a differing of opinions that was discussed by grown ups is never amiss.Count is not important, content is.

I like interacting with unlike-minded individuals on the political forum, as long as we can stick to the subject at hand and not devolve into invective.
Other forums are places to learn something new, and maybe contribute a little once in awhile.

That, Tom, is because you are amongst the more rational participants on the ARPF.

Others, not so much so...

Well opinions are like assholes, everyone has one of their own. I don't try to change any ones views to my own + I require the same. My girlfriend thinks Rachel Maddow, etc. hung the moon so when I get off work + she has that tripe on the TV I just put on my muffs + read my book in my easy chair.I did comment to her once that in the spirit of objectivity she should watch equal hours of Hannidy, etc.Of course that went over like a fart in church.Libs are very one sided.

Good question. (Shameless bump of post count)

Damn, been here 16 years and barely 300 posts. I'd better get busy.

And if more people on these sites would realize that, things would be a lot better.

What difference does it make if a person is more opinionated than someone else or is more willing to express their opinions.

Some folks have the ability to spend more time on the site than others.

Some folks feel more strongly about some issues than others, who the Hell cares, it is Personal opinions and as Norman Conquest stated more eloquently than I am going to, Everyone has opinions and an Asshole and both stink.

Pay asttyention to the content of anothers post and not the number!

Jesus Chirst on a Crutch folks, the PTB's of the site do not care how many posts any member makes, so why should any member care?????
