Exactly....that's why I questioned it. His statements didn't strike me as proper court etiquette. I'd think most judges would've had his ass hauled outta there right after it was apparent the guy was nuts. He did give the guy enough rope to hang himself and good.

GrenadierIs that transcript real? If so, I would think he would not only get a different attorney but also a change of venue and a different judge. To say the judge was prejudiced would be an enormous understatement. Since when have you heard of a judge ordering someone to ten years for contempt or requesting the defendant masturbate in court?

GatogordoWell, I initially read an article about it online. The article had a link to an Atlanta lawyers legal blog which had a link to the transcript on it. I just copied the link to transcript and don't have any easy way to get back to lawyer's blog. However, here is another article which mentions it. I am 99.99% certain it is real.

KenscoI suspect the defendant is one of those nut-jobs on AR's Political Forum. I have a hunch which one, but I'm not going to say.
Sounds like the judge had a slow day, and was just toying with the guy. (Our tax dollars at work.)
