A friend stopped by last night. he does HVAC.
I told him it must be fun going into a new build and you are the one who needs to put in the heat.
He said the worse thing was the hour drive, drinking a big coffee and getting to the job site and needing to take a shit first thing. I said yeah, hows a port-a-let at -25 ( what it is this AM).
He said, I wipe hand sanitizer around the seat and lite it on fire. When it burns out, the seat is warm.
Never heard of that trick!

Haha - great thinking, I like it. Probably works a treat.
An alternative method I've used in 0 minus degrees in Canada is a polystyrene donut that is placed on the toilet seat which you sit on. It's brilliant - instant warmth. Makes taking the dump very comfortable.

At my camp , we have an outhouse ,
Inside my camp , over top of the wood stove ,
We keep the toilet seats hanging on nails over the stove .. if you gotta go , you just take a nice warm seat with you ! If there is a seat missing you know it’s occupied!! Works great
