Thanks for pictures.
I lived 250 yards from WTC in 2002-2004 and 2009 on Murray Street.
Was at the corner of Broadway and Canal street on 9/11. I walked from mid-town towards WTC to see if I could help. A FDNY on Canal Street told me very nicely to go home.
Walked back to upper east side with F-16s in the sky, no WTC in the background, a cloud of white dust and a very clear blue sky.
A colleague who was across a trading desk from me was talking to his brother in the stairwell on WTC2 when the second plane struck. The phone died I had a small TV next to me. I could not say a word of what happen - I was frozen in shock. His brother died that day.
Worst day of my life. I remember everything about it and will till the day I die.
