NormanConquestCongratulations young men. That was quite an achievment. When I was in the scouts in Norfolk Va. in the dark ages all of our scoutmasters were ex Navy WW2 vets that still had contacts on the naval bases. We had the best ordnance for our camp outs = we REALLY learned things.Knot tying ranks right up there high with skills that carried over into life;I don't use semifore much.My main pride of acompllishment was earning the God + Country Award. There has been comments in the recent past about how the boy scouts were not meant to be a fore runner of military service. B.S.! That was exactly what Baden Powell had in mind.Sorry, got off on a tangent. You young men deserve our applause!
Never mistake motion for action.

DesertRamExcellent! Congratulations to those young men.
My son's troop is about to graduate another Eagle soon, and he and his Patrol members should reach First Class by year's end. Then more hard work to reach Eagle.

Use Enough GunCongrats!

Only 2-4 % of all scouts become Eagle Scouts. And, by the way, all of those Eagle Scouts are OA members as well!

I received my Eagle Scout award in 1964 and became a member of the OA that same year as well-a loooooooooong time ago.

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle!

3TimerCongrats to the young men. Quite an achievement.
Have a nephew get his and saw him thru all of his efforts. And don't forget the parents too.

Bill/OregonWell done, grandad!
Scouting was a great experience for me personally, but I would say doing a 54-miler at Philmont was more meaningful than earning my Eagle. Hope Casey gets that opportunity, if he has not already.
There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.

Use Enough GunYes it does. I remember a friend of mine who was the Human Resources Director of a very large precious metals mine which straddles the California/Nevada border, telling me about going through the hiring process of a new mine manager. He said that they had three equally qualified candidates for the position, but that one of the three was an Eagle Scout. He said that the committee choose the Eagle Scout. We hear that all of the time about how an Eagle Scout has been chosen for a position or job or other thing because of that honor.

NormanConquestTrue. It is a great character reference if for no other reasons than perserence + belief in God + Country.
