ray in seattleWho mails firearms through the post office?
My buyer informs me that he mailed a handgun to me via USPS. My information has it that handguns are not mailable through the post office and must be sent via a common carrier. Has he placed my item at risk? r in s.

Bobby TomekWith the US mail, a handgun must go FFL to FFL, and it does not have to go overnight. An individual may send a long gun through the mail to either an FFL, to a resident of his or her own state or to himself/herself (if going on an out-of-state hunt, for instance).
