Seeking advice
I have 17 unmounted trophies in storage at a large taxidermy company in RSA. They include leopard, buff, puku, croc, hippo, giraffe, Hartman's zebra and a sable. I haven't the funds to have them shipped or mounted. Any thoughts as to how to derive some value from them or at least avoid having them discarded?

BNagelGive them to the PH/safari company and hope for consideration in case your fortunes reverse? Sorry for your agony, Brice. Memories only now.

PoyntmanTwo thoughts came to mind as i read this.
1) I would try to at least separate the more valuable items, Leopard skin, Sable horns & cape, hippo tusks, and buffalo skull. They could fit easily in one small crate. maybe the Hartman hide too. Get a price on that small crate and see if you can get them shipped.
2) start a little Crowd Funding site to help a hunter not lose his dream trophies and help if you simply cannot afford the smaller price. People here would likely help for a good reason
3) get that leopard skin across the pond if absolutely nothing else
Finished Taxidermy doesnt have the Sale value of the Taxidermy itself (unless you are the taxidermist and only have the wholesale cost maybe)
It will likely cost maybe $1,500 to get few raw trophies home vs $20,000 to mount them
