OhiosamSome amateur taxidermy
Last year as a 4H project my 17 yo daughter wanted to try taxidermy. We had a mink that died inside our quail pen so that became her subject.
A friend that is just learning taxidermy helped her and here is the finished project.
She enjoyed it and wanted to try again this year so she choose the doe that she killed last fall.
Looks like she did a great job!

Improving the Quality and Status of Taxidermy Since 1970.
The little lady has some talent! You need to get her to your state taxidermy association convention so she can take advantage of her interest.
By the way . . . maybe Outdoor Writer's friend should have taken his mountain lion to her to mount!!
And so if you meet a hunter who has been to Africa, and he tells you what he has seen and done, watch his eyes as he talks. For they will not see you. They will see sunrises and sunsets such as you cannot imagine, and a land and a way of life that is fast vanishing. And always he will will tell you how he plans to go back. (author: David Petzer)

OhiosamThanks for all the complements, and yes I am very proud of her. We have talked about entering it in some taxidermy shows, we need to check into that.
Not sure what role, if any, taxidermy will play in her future because she is headed to OSU this fall to study chemical engineering. Never know where life will lead.

Mary Hilliard-KruegerPretty cool mounts! Love to see daughters take an interest in taxidermy. My oldest daughter hunted for a few years and mounted her trophies. Her interests changed but occasionally she speaks of her taxidermy mounting days.
OSU...go Buckeyes!
