My question is after you remove the bone from the tail what should be done next . Is there a preservative .

For a do it at home kinda preserve use 20 Mule Team Borax take a thin wire and get it into the end and fill it with it till it dries an shake it out.
Or soak in denatured alcohol for 24 hours remove and let dry.

Before you do either wash it and blow dry, just like you would your dog.
