Elephant Ivory Reproductions
Can any of you taxidermy professionals educate me on elephant tusk reproductions? What, generally, is the material used, is there a wide range of quality, and what is a fair price to pay?
Thank you. Tom

Need to know more, size you require, what purpose they will be used for.
Most are gel coat white or ivory then black fiberglass laid up, gel coat is then detailed for the cracks. then airbrushed and shaded to specs.
Wide range of quality?, Yes.
Just like taxidermy you have the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Price varies greatly.

Purpose is an indoor, controlled environment decorator item for my gun/reloading man cave. Nothing spectacular, just a reasonable example. Not interested in the huge, frame-a-doorway type. Certainly something more modest.
