Mead Taxidermy StudioIf there is no hangar on the backside of the rug, you will have to install one. Find a swivel-type hangar that you can screw into the underside of the head. The head form should have plywood there to screw in to. This type of hangar will also eliminate the need to cut the backing. The feet can be secured to the wall with small finishing nails if they don't have rings already attached.

Aspen Hill AdventuresI used a staple gun to attach mine to the wall. I just stapled through the felt border. Worked just fine!
I positioned mine diagonally on the wall with the head "up".

HughiamWe do something different on our rugs. You can go to any hardware store and get (6) 1 1/2" "D" Rings. You simply hand sew these on the underside of each foot into the backing(not the felt) and one on each side of the head. That way you can hang it facing left, right, up or down. And you haven't permanently damaged the rug.
Email me for more information.

smokeeterIf the rug is going to be used strictly for a wall hanging here's what I do.
Get some light 1/8 mohagany wall paneling and trace the bears outline and cut out this shape onto the paneling (you may have to spice two pieces together depending on the size of your rug). Next you staple the rug to the paneling at 4-6 inch intervals, once the rug is attached to the paneling this gives the whole rug a rigid structure with no sagging, the whole thing can be positioned on the wall and 1 1/2" finishing nails can be tacked through the rug ( at the edge) and into the studs for the wall. Usually only 3 nails are required to attach the rug.
