Mold/Mildew on Antelope horns
Been away from home for a few months and noticed there is mold/mildew on my antelope horns. All of my Africa mounts don't seem to have any.

What is the best way to clean the mold off? Will bleach or windex work?

For a simple diy use bleach water to kill the mold then buff the horns with a shoe shine brush and some Kiwi paste polish brown or black to restore color

a very mild diluted mixture of bleach and water will stop the mold growth. Just wash them off they should be fine. I'm wondering if it's a new mount there shouldn't be any moisture in the horns to cause mold growth.
I would not recommend shoe polish.

All of these are from before 2010 so, they are not new. The problem is one of my doing. I left my air conditioner on 80 when I left and that was not low enough to run to dry the air with all of the humidity we have.

I will get some bleach and clean them. Will be leaving my A/C set lower when I leave again.

Thanks for the help.
