LittleJoeZebra Hide
Question and opinion from everyone. I currently have a Burchell's Zebra shoulder mount and Burchell's Zebra full rug.
I have (2) more Burchell Zebra hides, skinned and salted for rugs, that should be home within the next couple of months.
I won't do a shoulder mount or rug again until I shoot a Mtn Zebra.
Any suggestions on what I do with these hides?
I won't and don't want to waste them but would like some practical ideas.
Thanks,
Justin

Upholster a foot stool or chair. With chairs best to put skins on the back and sides and fabric or leather on the seating area as the short zebra hairs will poke through your skin.
I have had clients cover bar tops and table tops with zebra and seal a piece of glass on the top.
You can also use the skin as inlays on pedestals for any African mount.

Equinsu OchaAnother option would be to sell them.
Zebra full skins are always in demand & can bring decent amounts.
Then use that $$$ towards your mtn zebra TF!

BigUglyManSeeing what they go for online you could always either tan them or have them rugged and sell them. Otherwise you could do any of the furniture things or accoutrements that festoon trophy rooms.
Too many zebra skins...what a problem to have!

Ske1eterIf you have room, I'd thing a "rug" on the wall would be neat.
I've got a rug and another zebra coming. The plan is to get a pedestal mount done with the head and pillows made out of the rest of the backskin. Should be very cool.

LittleJoeMary, do you do pillows or recommend someone?
I love the idea of under the glass on my desk.

Mary Hilliard-KruegerYes, I do. PM sent.
Under glass on your desk top would look nice. Make sure the skin is re-hydrated and stretched first to produce a nice flat piece for the best result.
