I have some tanned cape buffalo leather. How thin can you make leather like this ?

Anton, I am currently having same debate with Prestige & leather working company in France. The answer I am getting is: as thin as useful in Zim, let the leather workers thin it out later at shop. At shop, they can get it razor thin, IF the tanning is first rate. 1mm is possible (like top quality leather goods, Gucci, etc...), but its all down to crust + tan.
