jdsI would go with the feet off. It would look much better plus it would be less work for the taxidermist (for which you will be charged more).
Just my $.02 . . . adjusted for inflation.
Good luck!

Widowmaker416Feet on!!!! Why would you want to take the feet off? The rug looks cut off with out the feet!!
You are mounting the head on the rug aren't you?

JohnTheGreekLEAVE THEM ON FOR SURE! If it makes you feel any better, I am planning this sort of rug for one of the two bison I will take next year (both free roaming). Yes, I am planning to leave the hooves on.
Best,

dgr416, et al.....
If you are going to have the rug in a place where this is little or no foot traffic (corner of room, tacked to wall, a purely as a display, etc.) then leave the feet on, it will look great.
If you actually plan to use the the hide as a real rug, where there will be foot traffic and it will be walked/trod upon then have the feet (hooves) REMOVED (cut off).
The reason is that the hooves will in a very short period of time when trod upon come off. People trip over the hooves, they stretch in the legs (ankle) and will in a very short time fall off from use. Same goes for snout, ears, tail, etc.
Cheers,
Gerry
