Not positive, but I do not believe it would be legal for you to buy one. There are provisions for you to import one that you shot without difficulty (only CITES export permit nedded from country of origin) but it is my understanding that you can not BUY one. This applies to Hartmanns mountain zebra as it is a CITES animal. I know that you can not buy one in Africa and bring it home. I would assume that you can not buy one here as well. Check with USFWS.
