I shot a decent buffalo a bit over a year ago. I do some of my own taxidermy. But tan my own hides when I do. Not sure I have enough room for the buffalo but if I do it any suggestions on where to send the hide?

Youre a brave man to try and tackle tanning your own buffalo! Those things are a pain and back breaker.

I send all my tanning on to Carolina Fur Dressing and have it wet tanned. It comes back ready to mount less your final trim/shave of the lips, eyes and nose.

It generally runs about $300.00, but its worth it.

No sir I dont want to tan my own Buffalo hide! I did the hide on my bison. It sucked had to lift it in and out of the tan with a hoist! I was thinking on sending this one out if I decide to mount it.
