Aspen Hill AdventuresThat's certainly a huge difference in lifelike detail and quality. Is the kudu redu the same cape?

The Artistry of WildlifeNot on this one, in about 35 to 50% of the cases we can, but this one was just trash.
I keep about 8 to 10 Kudu capes in the shop all the time to re-do these disasters. I carry just about any specie that you can think of just for remounts.
What a differenc! The facial features and the horns look great. The horns on the original look like they were way overboiled and not touched up at all. I have a friend who had his taxidermy work done in SA (looks alright) and the horns were overcooked and not touched like the original. Is there a fix he can do the horns himself or should he take them to a good taxidermist? Just wondering what your method of repair is. Thanks Louis

The Artistry of Wildlifewtnut,Kudo's you also noticed the horn re-do. Nice call, My finisher Jamie spent 1/2 day just scrubbing them getting the bruned oil out to do a repaint and seal and get rid of those black horns. Good eyes!

PS We do it, can't tell you our process. Not being rude it's how we pay our bills and make our paychecks. If he needs them done give us a call.

DENNIS Thanks for the reply. We live in northern Alberta and freight would kill him. Absolutely no offence taken and again GREAT JOB! Louis

The Artistry of WildlifeYour local guy CAN do some research. I wrote an article in the leading Taxidermy Trade Magazine BREAKTHROUGH all about re-doing African burnt horns and how to correct this problem.
DENNIS Thanks again Will research it and pass it on to my buddy.
