I'm going to run my GSP on pheasant next month, it will be his first time hunting and I want to have his first bird mounted. I'm not a fan of the bird on driftwood poses that seem to be common for birds.

Does anyone have any ideas or pictures of a good mount for a pheasant? Ideally something that can be wall mounted, since I have plenty of wall space.

Just talk to your taxidermist he should have some good ideas. Jumping up with some grass behind it looks nice.

Still life can also look quite good. Works best with a couple of birds or mixed with a sharp tail or prairie chicken. Best I have seen is hanging by foot on a piece of fence post.

Two pheasant, spurs up, fighting under glass in an end table or coffee table.
