I made one for my last year. I used a 4x4 - about 8" long, mounted a 12" square piece of a 1x12, I then cut the base to a octogon. I cut the angle at the top of the 4x4 so that the antlers sit about the same way they would if the deer was looking at you. I covered the skull with a light tan colored suede cloth. Maybe I can getr Eric to take a picture and post it when he comes home for xmas.
