HugluPtarmigan mount
How damaged can a bird be and still be worth sending to the taxidermist for a good result?
Will bloodstains be possible to remove? It is hard to kill the birds gently with a shotgun or a rifle. They will bleed and blood on the white feathers is very visible. One wing and one leg is also broken + some blood from the lungs over the beak.
Can it be done or is it better to just eat it and forget about mounting it?
Sincerely
Daniel

Only your Taxidermist knows for sure!
Best thing to do is to let your taxidermist take a look at it, he should be able to tell right off if it's any good.

Richard G. SantomaBroken bones and blood are not a problem. When something is missing, that might be a problem.

george roofI always tell my clients: "If you have to ask me if it CAN be done, you should probably just eat it anyway." Richard's advise is good if you can't convince yourself, however.
