MileHighShooterother types of taxidermy/trophy work
No desire to pay all that extra money to have every animal dipped/packed shipped and stuffed or what have you. Thats trophy fee money!! But, there ARE a few things I have always thought would be pretty cool and wondered if some members have had the same done, their results and maybe who they used?
Specifically, soft and hard rifle cases. I think a zebra soft case and *someday* a croc skin covered hard case would be some excellent and USEFUL items. Maybe a rifle sling as well to match the cases. I think a matching soft case/sling/ammo pouch would just be as cool as you could get.

Idaho SharpshooterI wen PG hunting in SA this April. Trophex Taxidermy there is doing head/shoulder mounts on my Kudu, Gemsbok, and Waterbuck. It was just an extra $100 per animal to have them tan the back halves at the same time. I have my Cape Buffalo back half here, and plan to have it tanned and skived about the thickness of saddle skirting leather. I will have heavy leather gun cases made with the center foot or so (where the carry handle is) done using the back halves. I think it will add a bit of class to hauling them around as well as protecting the rifles better.
They will look like the Boyt HD cases with full length zippers and fleece lining.

MileHighShooterSounds very cool Rich! Hope you put some pics up when its all done. I rather like the idea of having a case and sling made for the rifle that slayed the beasts, kind of like a trophy for the rifle
