nyriflemanNeed Help
This is a problem I really don't mind having.
I shot a nice 7x7 Bull elk last November, taxidermist called, he's ready for me to pick up.
The problem is that my home is over 100 years old, low ceilings. Thought I'd hang him over the staircase, but he's too big.
So, I'm thinking pedestal mount. I'd like a pedestal that I could use for another animal later (Cape Buff preferably) as I'm planning on a move in the next few years and will have room on the wall for the elk.
Any suggestions on who to contact for a pedestal? Thanks.
Doug

Savage99How much too big in what way for the stairwell? A carpenter or good drywall guy might be able to make some room for it. Thats a good place otherwise.
Can you show me a picture of the stairwell and the dimensions of the elk and stairwell?

shehuntzYou can get some standard pedestals straight from the major US taxidermy suppliers.
Have a browse on the mckenzie website, for example

I have to get mine custom made over here and it costs a fortune.
