Shod horses walking always sound like wolves to me. This should go with the post about "Some people shouldn't own guns"

DITTO!

I have been surrounded by wolves in the dark and never fired a shot...mind you, I knew that they were after my caribou meat and not me.

Too many boogy-man stories around the camp fire and on TV. That still doesn't excuse this fellows stupidity of not identifying his target.
That's one of the things that scares me here in WV -state motto: "look, its breathing, lets kill it- about running a buck and doe season together. Too many locals prone to taking "sound shots".

Brad,
My thoughts and prayers for your friend and his family and for his full recovery. I hope he finds the best lawyer in Montana and takes every penny that moron has. Absolutely unfuckingbelievable.

Another reason why I turn on the ole' Mag Light when darkness falls, It's kind of like having a orange vest on in the daylight hours. You never know what the other guy is gonna do.

Good Luck!

Brad: Please add me to list sending sympathy and prayers to the Davis family. A lot of things could be suggested about what should have been done differently, but none takes the responsibility away from the one shooting the rifle. My prayer is that the young man heals completely and gets back the full use of his arm. Gary T.

Brad, a very sad thing for all involved. As to the charges, I feel they are inadequate to say the least. In Georgia such actions are subject to felony charges, and I wish more states were aligned so. The Commandments of firearm safety are written in blood, failure to heed is inexcusable.

Best wishes to the Davis family and J.C.

Our thoughts and prayers for your friend to make a quick recovery.

Very sad indeed that someone shoots at just the sound they hear.

Once we had to walk about 15 miles in the dark in Africa back to camp after our truck broke down.

If we did what this hunter did, we would have run out of ammo within one mile of our starting point!

Our family will remember young Mr Davis and his family in our prayers as well. This sort of thing happens every year unfortunately, and it is always sickening to hear.
