Got my elk
Tough hunting this year. I did score on a 5 pt. bull @ 277 yds. with my 338-378 wby and a single 250 gr. partition.
Somehow I just seem to get lucky!

Congratulations! In five days of hunting the south side of the Strawberry Mtns I saw no elk and heard no shots in three different drainages.

May I ask where you got lucky?
